ARCUS High-Efficacy 3D Neon for Sustainable Architectural Lighting

In North America, good architectural lighting has to do more than look good. Design teams are asked to hit tighter lighting power density (LPD) limits, support LEED and WELL targets, and still deliver warm, welcoming interiors.

ARCUS was built for exactly that tension.

ARCUS is a next-generation 3D flexible neon system for indoor architectural lighting. It delivers true 3D form, high efficacy, and clean, continuous lines of light. With efficacies up to 102 lm/W and lumen packages up to 1020 lm/m, ARCUS gives you more light per watt while preserving the visual comfort designers expect from premium linear systems.

Why high-efficacy linear lighting matters

Across North America, codes and clients are raising the bar:

  1. Stricter LPD limits in office, hospitality, and retail

  2. Growing adoption of LEED, WELL, and other green building standards

  3. Owners setting internal ESG and net-zero targets

At the same time, linear lighting has become the backbone of many interiors. Continuous coves, perimeter lines, and feature details can run hundreds of feet per floor. Traditional 3D neon solutions around 70–80 lm/W make it harder to meet aggressive LPD targets in long runs and 24/7 spaces.

ARCUS high-efficacy 3D neon offers another path: keep the design intent, cut the watts.

ARCUS performance: efficiency plus experience

For North American projects, the ARCUS family is organized into two simple tracks:

  • ARCUS 3D Core – high-efficacy LED linear lighting for long indoor runs

  • ARCUS 3D Spec – premium color quality and visual comfort when the space is brand-critical

ARCUS 3D Core – when efficiency leads

For energy-sensitive projects, ARCUS 3D Core is the default choice:

  • Large profile: up to 102 lm/W at 10 W/m

  • Medium profile: up to 88 lm/W at 10 W/m

  • Up to 1020 lm/m (≈310 lm/ft) for coves, corridors, and public areas

Compared to typical 3D neon, ARCUS can deliver roughly 30–40% more lumens per watt, depending on the reference point. That translates into fewer watts to reach the same illuminance, or more design freedom within the same LPD budget.

ARCUS 3D Spec – when visual comfort matters most

High efficacy still has to feel good in the space. ARCUS 3D Spec is tuned for projects where light is part of the brand:

  • 1-step MacAdam, single-bin control for tight color consistency

  • CRI 95+ with excellent TM-30 metrics for natural color rendering

  • Efficacy up to 92 lm/W in the Large profile

Use ARCUS Spec in hotel lobbies, galleries, premium residential, and flagship retail where you need both designer-grade light quality and a credible sustainability story.

Sustainable 3D neon: form, waste, and lifespan

Sustainability in architectural lighting is also about installation quality, waste, and rework.

True 3D geometry – clean details, less rework

ARCUS uses a true 3D bending design, so the luminous surface stays upright and smooth through inside and outside corners:

  • No rolling flat

  • No bulging or twisted faces

  • Clean reveals in millwork and architectural details

That means fewer on-site work-arounds for contractors and a higher chance that the detail you draw is the detail you get.

From watts to carbon

High-efficacy linear systems like ARCUS directly reduce operational carbon.

A simple example:

  • A typical floor has 200 m of cove and feature lighting

  • You swap a 75 lm/W reference product for ARCUS Core at 100 lm/W

  • For the same delivered lumens, installed power for that system drops by roughly 25%

Over the life of the building, especially in 18/7 or 24/7 applications, that turns into lower annual energy costs, lower CO₂ emissions, and more flexibility in the energy model for other loads.

How to specify ARCUS in your next project

Think of the ARCUS family as two spec-friendly choices:

  • Choose ARCUS 3D Core when you need to meet ambitious LPD or energy-code requirements in long runs such as corridors, coves, and public areas.

  • Choose ARCUS 3D Spec when the space is brand-critical, color fidelity is non-negotiable, and you still want a high-efficacy 3D neon system that supports your sustainability goals.
